UBUNTU 16.04 VS ELEMENTARY OS

I'm Currently running Ubuntu 16.04 for all things dev related, is it worth the time to switch to elementary OS?

Or is there any other distro you would suggest me to switch to?

@Aaronz it's a desktop environment. It starts of really ugly but spend an hour or two and you can make it the prettiest DE out there.

Also, ITS SO FUCKING FAST YOU WONT BELIEVE

OK so i was just watching a few videos on it, and it looks pretty impressive 😅, I'm probably gonna be installing arch this coming weekend. So until then guess I'll use i3gaps on my Ubuntu.

    Thanks A ton @Dacexi .

@Aaronz i3 is a lifestyle. Once you try it you're hooked.

Elementary is based on 16.04, so you won't be missing any packages, I really like the pantheon environment and the appcentre as well

@Aaronz Go with arch if you have a lot of time on your hands :P
Go with elementary if you want simple, easy to set up os

Definetly agree with @YourNemesis arch is really fun if you've got the time and the patience

I like fedora. Works well out of the box, the packages are updated quickly, and it tries to push forward new technologies.

I tried elementary is last year and though it did look good on paper little quirks here and there had me running back to mint by week 3. Not a bad os but very opinionated.

I use mint for now only because i want my linux be like window, but i'm trying to build a desktop with i3. It's strange but not ugly
