Jilano272886yIf you have your desktop configured to your liking artwork, just backup all your settings and put them back at home. It shouldn't take that long to have an up and running machine!

My main problem right now should be that I don't have an external hard drive that I could backup all my stuff to or put the configuration from my workplace on..
And I am not sure if the space I have left on my home pc is enough for a linux debian installation, but I am not sure how to make the transition yet :/ -
Jilano272886y@simulate Lots of people use a git repository to manage their configuration, so you could try that.
If you're using it everyday, I'm sure that you'll be fine (expect if you have very specific software). As for space, I think Debian can work correctly with 20ish GB, but more space would be advisable.
