Depends on my mood when starting a new project!

Bitbucket too, or a private self hosted, ‘cause it’s fun :p
  • 4
Self hosted because its fucking faster and I'm independent.

I put the code on 3 1/2 floppy disks and put them in a box and then bury them in my backyard for private repositories.

... I use Gitlab and Github.

GitLab. Used github until a few years ago but if I'd been using it until Microsoft bought it, I'd have quit github and moved to gitlab the second they announced the deal.

@resdac Yes. And azure runs on linux based systems for about 60 percent. What's your point?

Version control? No, I remember all the changes in my head, what a bunch of normies

    Github for open sourced code.
    Bitbucket for archived projects.
    Gitlab for everything else.
  • 0
    I don't save my code.
I use it only once in the interpreter.

    GitHub for just about everything.

@linuxxx I think he was pointing out that both are with Microsoft, without realising host != management.

@Proximyst I know that and my point was exactly what you just said haha
  • 0
GitHub for personal stuff. Despite all the microshit acquisition hubbaloo, it's still the best community. Does gitlab have a trending everyday list? Didn't think so

    Bitbucket at work.

@Proximyst yep, i guess my two o clock workbrain was not thinking corrcetly when it spitted out that statement.

@resdac even better: GitLab is now migrating to Google Cloud Platform 🤣
