@115105109 Because of the wildfires, electricity gets shut down to prevent even more of them. Neglecting infrastructure and forest maintenance certainly had their share in this.

On a more serious note, it's such a shame to see how much damage could be avoided everywhere if only we spent a little bit of money to secure things before it's too late. -
@Jilano The wildfires aren't even because of lacking money. They are because of misguided environment policies enacted by the Californian government, forbidding controlled burn-downs and forest maintenance. Keeping it "really natural", you know. With "really natural" mega-fires as a consequence.
That's what happens when you vote urban environmentalists into government who wouldn't survive in the wilderness for more than a few days.

9 fucking days without internet.
