    Co-pilot has been out for maybe 2 years now and yet, here I am.

    yeah, no. ChatGPT is like talking to a toddler with way to much knowledge. Yes it has that knowledge, but it has no idea, how to use it.

    It doesn't invent new solutions, it literally just combines stuff, that was out there already.

    That being said, it's good for boilerplate, that gets repeated a million times anyways.

    @joewilliams007 i can't say, it isn't.

    I would still say, that CG is not the automated solution to webdev, because it doesn't automate anything meaningful. And so doesn't any framework out there. At the end of the day there is some poor soul that has to mess around with clicky things and dragy things to build something, that either 3 or 300k people will see.

    i draw an analogus from personal experience, but path tracing and other light renderers were quite the impact in the visualization industry, because you suddenly didn't need to learn about how lighting behaves, to make images with correct lighting. At the end of the day, you still had to bring your idea onto the canvas.
