    That's hideous! What are Apple thinking?

    Switch to Emacs. You can ignore cursor keys because it becomes more natural to use C-b C-f C-n C-p to move back, forward, next and previous, your hand stays over the letter keys.

    @sam21s yep - magic keyboard.

    Damn. Since I actually use the arrow keys it's plain unusable. I was already fed up with the reflective displays and almost had a heart attack when they dropped magsafe. Also hate the sharp edges if the chassie on my arms for the last three MBPs I've had. And since this is a place for rants: They had to be stoned when they placed the only two usb ports of the old MBPs to close together that I literally had no cables or USB sticks that could be used together since they were to wide.

    @Elkstorm they dropped magsafe? O.o do you mean the "new" macbook with the usbc type?

    @SirWindfield Yes :( A single Usb-C and nothing more. Out of their minds. I use Apple laptops and it has saved my but countless times

    I use _four_. apple laptops. Omitted an no edit.

    @Elkstorm I like those magnetic cables. I found somewhere an adapter for usbc to make it magnetic, but I am not sure how the adapter will influence the performance though... Gonna look it up later on.
    Would live to see 2 usbc ports next time ;)

    @Wildgoose Or vim if you don't like RSI

    do they have the home and end key yet?
  • 0
    @benoliver999 Or vim, but you can always map Caps-Lock to Ctrl to match the original Emacs keyboards.

    I don't touch type anyway so my whole left hand is available for modifier keys. 😀

    What do you mean it's fiddly to move up and down? J and K are the same size as H and L, aren't they? 😀
