    Just learn basic JQuery and tell them "eh javascript's close enough"

    If it's good enough for recruiters, it's good enough for you.

    @askerr Problem is the assignment I'm doing *has* to be done in java according to the sheet.

    @Willyb321 what do you mean by fully? Just the SE related stuff? Or enterprise? If you need EE you are seriously fucked.
    If SE, than you are quite lucky. The standard classes and concepts aren't that hard to learn if you already know some other languages (especially oop ones). Would recommend JetBrains intellij idea so you can see what functions are available and browse the javadoc if you need a description for them. There is also a plugin for dash (os x app that can manage sooo many docs). That's the one I use. Bare Bo es Java isn't that hard tho. I teached it myself in about 21 days I guess but I had written c++ for more than two yours before. So it helped a lot.

    @Willyb321 That's recommendable.... most guys look at video tutorials for one week and call themselves proficient....

    if you already know a language it's easy to learn any modern language in days. Google and SO is your friends.

    @superuser Not really....stop using cheatsheets

    @SirWindfield Well, I have to have an app, fully complete, by the end of that period. I'll be using android studio, so hopefully I won't need EE. I actually recently just found dash, so ive got that going for me. I had a look at my wakatime for yesterday, I spent about 15 hours in java. I love programming, but thats more than I've ever done in a day lol.

    @Willyb321 an app? Holy fuck. Though that the api of android isn't that hard to learn, to create a good designed app it takes more than 14 days. Good luck 🍀
