Nothing like waking up to a text from a good friend, "do you know how to make phone apps?"

    Hopefully that person has a great idea and knows how to market 😀

    And I've got a description.

    "Something for pet owners. Probably already exists and I'm just out of touch with that stuff, thinking you'd take picture of pet and the app could change hair colors, animate, add stuff to them. Does that already exist?"

    Definitely out of scope of a, "oh, this sounds like a fun, easy project, sure, I'll help you out" for me. But I appreciate that my friend is nice about it, not all, "I've got this great idea, I'll give you 10% of the profits, I want to make a Facebook for car owners who also like birds, it's the best, you're an asshole if you don't code it for me."

    I sent a link over to an article about using snapchat filters on dogs. Hopefully that fills enough of the requirements.

    @Christine

    "Do you know how to make phone apps?"
    "Yes"

    The end :)

    Since people don't really like to ask favours I find that I'm often off the hook only answering the stated question and not the implied so they have to come right out and say "will you code one for free?"

    Actually ideas are valued 2% of the profit. Execution for 48%. Marketing and connection the rest 50. Got a lot of people tellin me their ideas.
