I'm with you mate! I'm ABAP developer - SAP consultant ... I feel your pain...ranted a few days ago about how it took me 3 fucking days to mail a simple form!

I tried to learn ABAP - built an SAP trial system on Amazon ews. The periods at the end of statements weirded me out. Also, you have to go through so many steps to create a simple table and query it. And no one and nowhere could I find a reasonable explanation for client number when you login in. To add to the confusion, SAP consultants and many users remember a whole slew of transaction numbers to launch parts of the application.

TCODES piss me off too. The other thing is that the online support is not very easy to find and finally the stupid answer that I get on questions like "why should I do it this way or why is it done this way?"... "Eh...because SAP!!!"

...that sounds recognizable! It took me also a while before I got used to it. Btw: client is the most basic data separator (it is the prim.key in most tables). Because of the clients, you can use the same SAP system, but with different data from the same db and you can work on this data without the hazard of comprising data from another client...
