what's a good programming language to start learning now? I learned HTML/CSS/JS, and PHP. I will be going to university for comp sci next year and just want to start expanding whatever skills I have

If you're not familiar with strictly typed languages, getting familiar with how they work would be in your best interest for comp sci.

I learned JS first, and now I'm pulling my hair out becAUSE IT'S IN QUOTATIONS IT'S A FUCKING STRING.

    Retro-learning types is a pain.

Python is pretty great. You might like something object oriented like Java, C++, Swift, etc.

I second Python, it would add to your repertoire for web, but also small systems development, and it's also awesome for just about anything not requiring performance.
