Shit code. I've done it, you've done it, we've all done it. Just keep working hard and improving. Eventually, you'll be writing better... shit code.

    When I win a new client to revamp his site, I never diss the code on their existing site, even if it's shite. Cos someone may get to redevelop a site I did and slag off my shit code.

    Write code in drafts. Get it out on the page, and then rework it. That's the only way to improve.

    @helloworld so true. No one sets out to write bad code. You do the best you can with the constraints, resources, and knowledge you have at the time. It's hard/impossible to know what the previous developer(s) had to deal with.

    With all code required yesterday, we have no choice in the matter... Other than to go reafactor when we have quite development times... which are also non existent because there's always another feature....
