Sometimes I feel like, even thought being a Software Engineer, I know web development better than 70%-80% so called professional "Web Developer"

This should get interesting, since I think 70% to 80% of DevRanters are professional Web developers.

@xinuxunil Love it when I can teach a dev, love it when I can learn from a dev.

But I fucking hate when a dev thinks he knows better than me but doesn't even know how ftp works.

yip that title is used way to loosely and not qualified by any real criteria.

@tahnik lol why would a web developer need to use FTP? What would they use for version control: Dropbox?

    "Web developer triggered!"

Can you point me where did I say they would use ftp or dropbox for version control?

Once done developing where would the files go? Will it stay in the local computer?

Files need to be uploaded via cPanel, Webmin or FTP.

@xinuxunil Love seeing the upvotes going up and down. Already triggered a dev here who thinks I am talking about ftp for version control. Dis is gonna be gud

@tahnik I thought you were joking, sorry. Then you said cPanel. We're talking about different worlds you and I. I was thinking SSH; Git; Cloud platforms. You're thinking shared hosting. HT
