Why do supermarkets still use windows xp? Grr! Stuck at billing now.

    It makes no sense to upgrade it, and that's coming from someone who hates XP.

    @angelorm It's not. It crashed, yes, but we have no evidence to believe that it's an OS related crash.

    @620hun Despite it being a great os, xp in general is fairly broken nowadays, since the support stopped and there are a lot of security risks with it.

    @620hun i guess it makes total sense to upgrade because these systems also have loyalty points and bonus info for all their members. They don't get security patches.

    @LucaScorpion If it's not directly connected to the internet it's completely safe. As long as someone doesn't plug an infected USB device in it and so on.
