So I have this 13 year old cousin who's pretty determined to follow my footsteps as a developer someday. He really likes gaming and all internet stuffs. His future plans makes me happy since I may finally have a relative that is a developer. But darn it! He's kinda weird coz he still throws tanrums. One of his major tantrums(which happened again last night) is that he wants the wireless Karaoke machine to be turned off because he thinks that it's slowing down the internet. It was his sister's birthday party and the guests are partying. I've told him many times that the signal for the karaoke is different from that of the router which has nothing to do with the internet slowing down. It must be caused by q device that is updating some apps or whatever. We live in the philippines and our internet provider is quite fast but it has this stupid fair usage policy that caps our bandwidth to a minimum speed if we reach a certain amount of data usage. Since he goes to youtube everyday in 480 and 720p, I explained it to him that it was one of the causes.
Last night, I almost got triggered because I wanted him to believe about the wifi being different to that of the karaoke machine's radio and that it is not connected to the wifi and not using data. I also told him about different kinds of wireless signals which I studied as a Software Engineering student back then and yet he still doesnt believe me. And what almost triggered me is that i saw his steam client updating while watching youtube. I told him that was it. But instead of agreeing, he refused to believe me and just told me that steam is just updating and he's not downloading anything which made me think why he keeps going to youtube, because...he's not downloading. Oh God! Good luck to this kid. 😂

    Lmao. May Bless that kid.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure satellitle signal can interfere with WiMax signal. I remember TV channel glitching if I was using internet.

@HoloDreamer thanks, to add, we're using a wired cable box for the tv and my cousin only points out that it is the wireless microphone interfering with the wifi signal 😂

There's a lot of people who love gaming and are more techy oriented thinking to take an IT or CS course because it's swag for them. However, what they don't realize is that IT or CS is more than just being a swag gamer or knowing more about computer tech stuffs. I hate this kind of people. Most of them whom I know have no passion at all for the beauty of programming and/or CS and they always never fail to give me hell in group projects.

@zzyzy I totally agree! I'm not even a gamer. Casual only but not as addicted as my little cousin. I actually know a lot who only took IT/CS because they play a lot of games.

The bad thing is, one you have your CS degree you don't play games that often.
Also I feel sorry for you for having such a shitty telco
