Senior Dev Idiot: "Ugh, I have another meeting with my business users because they forgot how to use my app. I JUST had a training session with them last week too. Users are soo stupid!"

Yeah... No. If your users can't remember how to use your app after a damn week, that means your app is shit and not intuitive or user-friendly enough. YOU are the stupid one.

    It could be both... some users are pretty bad.

    This is why programmers shouldn't be ux devs at the same time

    @juzles I do both 😂

    @iD986 wanted to say 'some programmers' ☺

    @juzles I have a designer that I could have do all the work, for the big projects I usually do, but for personal projects I'm like eh I'll do it myself 😂

    @shittywebdev Sure, users can be incompetent and sometimes unbelievably dumb. Yet, there's also a case to be made for expecting the more "competent" party (in this case, the developer) to provide, at minimum, a USABLE interface for their end users.

    @minimango Totally agree with you! I always try to look inward when there's a problem with the app or how it's used. If users are constantly screwing something up, it's a clear opportunity to make something better.

    @mclark1129 Yes! If you've ever read the book The Design of Everyday Things, one particular quote comes to mind: "But in my experience, human error usually is a result of poor design."
