Never knew that someone could send you a tracked email, so when you opened that email the sender will get a notification. Anyone find this nasty?

Your email client should have the option to allow you to choose whether to send the read receipt or not. I always have it disabled. People who request read receipts are dicks.

Read receipts are one thing but those can be blocked pretty easily via your email provider or client. However, the nasty thing in my opinion are the email providers that use invisible images for tracking. That's borderline IP-logging and I hate how it's becoming a popular feature. You can however often prevent this by disabling "remote images" in your client.

I created a rant about this. I hate this one person at work who always requests a read receipt. So annoying.
