Looking at job specs is all well and good but when companies list an acronym and required e.g. 3 years exp it's a bit like:

"What if their devs are lazy asses and I've caught up in 1?"

    or more horrifyingly:

"Am I a lazy ass who hasn't learnt enough in 3 years of exp?"

I'm in the same position at the moment. My only advice is just to go interview crazy. Try to be objective and see it from the employers side. If you have a years experience, don't expect the big bucks, but look for somewhere that is a bit young so you can prove yourself and rise quickly if it's money you want! Or go to a big well established software house early on, so you can learn the ropes, and invest in a future career! Best of luck :)

I've got 4 years and it's leaving my first tech job which is why I'm not totally sure what to expect.

Thanks for the advice both, finished up my CV today and put it out to my peers so we shall soon see :)

If it goes badly I'll be visiting this thread to bug you ;)

    Cheers.
