Yesterday I spend around half an hour 'debugging' why a screen wasn't working. Checking cable connection, drivers and so on. Then the system admin pointed out that the extension power cable box was turned off... In my defence, I only slept for 4 hours that night..

I have done a similar thing.

Was servicing a minitower and after changing some dip switches for one of the hard drives it would not start up.

After pulling out the hdd and remounting it a colleague came by with a big smile and suggested that I put the other end of the power cable into the wall socket ;)

Suddenly that annoying first line support question, is the power on, does not sound so silly :b
