When your security on your server is so good that you can't access it yourself

Haha, I had that too. What happened?

    @Jifuna
Fail2ban blocked me because I set up a check on port 22... To many checks triggered fail2ban and blocked the IP :p

I have just to wait one week until the ban is gone, or take me laptop to work and access it from there :p

Haha, lol had exactly the same thing.
I know a way to fix it:
    Install juicessh on phone
Login to server on mobile internet
    Check iptables and delete rule
Type iptables --flush if you have nothing else in the table to set back default
    I hope it works

@Jifuna this is the proper way to do it.

    fail2ban-client set YOURJAILNAMEHERE unbanip IPADDRESSHERE

But if you have a static ip address you can whitelist it

@Linux and that key is tied to your ip or something? If not just copy your key to juicessh and login. I use SSHkeys with juicessh on my servers and works servers lol

    Go to privateinternetaccess

Buy a VPN for a month

    Get the job done

    Ask for a refund.

@Linux tbh, I dont see the benefit in that. If you only use that device to connect or use a VPN to be able to use the hat ip then your pretty much stuck, like you are now lol
