Don't deploy at Friday at all...

If possible, don't even work on a Friday.

Friday knows that you're doing something.

Friday WILL break something.

Oh and this is one of those things that you have to experience to learn from.

Shit almost always hits the fan regardless; Always push to prod on the last day of a week. Always. Especially if you have build errors. Atleast that way you'll know before hand whether to come in on Saturday, so you can re-plan things accordingly. :P
