I want to start learning python..
My question now is: Should I go with Python 2 or 3? I heard there are some rather major differences

    See, you are LEARNING!
So it really doesn't matter a lot.

As far as I know Python 2 will lose official support in a few years (with emphasis on the 'official' part) and if you start I'd recommend to learn the more modern one. There is a reason they revamped the whole thing^^

    Edit: It gets discontinued.

It's 2017, it is now safe to go with python 3. Even I started using python 3 since a month.

    Python 3.

By the time you will be good at it everyone will be moving on from 2.
