I woke up to find my internet connection failed overnight. Thanks for nothing BT.

Before the brain engaged and whilst waiting for the router to restart, I thought to myself let's check devRant... DOH!

However, doing that allowed me to discover that the devRant's app, at least on iOS, doesn't display an error in this case. I've attached what it currently looks like to me but think we can come up with a better solution together.

    @dfox or maybe a bunch of default rants that talk crap how you don't have Internet?

    Top tip, I work from home, it's crucial for me to have a consistent broadband connection. I have a nice 75meg cable connection, but this does occasionally go down. To make sure it doesn't stop me I have bought some 4g data plan for my iPhone, which kicks in if there's a failure. I can share that with my iMac and seamlessly continue working. Saved me a few times now.

    Android doesn't show an error either

    @helloworld that's an awesome setup.

    I very rarely work from home though. I live in a shared house where the broadband connection is chosen by my non-technical live-in landlord 😩 but good point about the mobile data plan though. Could get a bolt-on for the occasional days when a connection is of critical importance.

    We finally got through to the support team (FML IN LIVING HELL). Turns out that they forgotten to the set the direct debit up for the fourth month in a row and suspended our account again.

    Useless bunch of cockwombled shit fucks.

    My recommendation for all UK people to never rely on BT.
