I think I need to replace my OnePlus One's "replaceable battery"... but it's not as easy-to-replace as I thought...

so much for my plans of not replacing the phone for 8 years...

sad to hear buddy, is it dying too fast?

@tommy it lasts for 1/2 day with regular use.

@allanx2000 they dont make battery cases for the one plus right?

@tommy issue is the "replaceable" battery is not like those battery packs you can just swap out easily... have to risk messing something up....

Hm, compared to other phones, not too hard I'd say...
Writing this from an opo with dying batt as well...but still quite happy with the phone...

is the phone still awesome? I want the new one, I am hoping to get the 3T and then be super tech savvy and put Remix OS onto it so that if i plug it into a tv or monitor it turns into a pc.
The 3T has 6 gb ram right?

@tommy no idea, I don't want a new phone until this one dies... I hope it doesn't.

I may get an Axon Z7 if it does, seems like it is better in specs? TBH after OPO, all the newer models just seem like incremental upgrades... pretty meh.

@tambo They say the battery is soft and don't let it leave stuff behind... WTF? I've never seen a soft phone battery before and the only think i can imagine is the stuff inside can't be good if it is released by accident...

@allanx2000 I would't take that too literal...Form my experience in changing Iphone batts, they felt quite soft as well, nothing to be worried about too much

8 years? I think youre goddamn senseless, nothing is remotely MADE to last 8 years nowadays.

@madrix999 how old is your car and house?

Good tech would last for a while. The specs of this phone are good enough for 8yrs... There why I bought it...

@allanx2000 This is a phone, not a computer, neither is it a car or a house. Phones are made to fail after a cpuple of years so they can sell you the brand new one. I do have an old phone (lg g2), but its already starting to get old with things like the battery. Thats the point of planned obsolescence

All the charge (ions) get used up after at least 2-3 years of use no matter how much you pay for it . And this ain't no battery that you can replenish or recharge those ions, if you do so, the battery itself might explode or might Fuck up your hardware on the phone.it lasted this long is surprising enough for me.
