I have a dream

That we will live in a world where we can download Xcode, Visual Studio (not the xamarin bullshit) and Android Studio, all on the same machine, under one OS, without any hassle, and live a peaceful life, till our death...

    I would actually be more excited if both android and iOS had a good package manager like npm in javascript world and bundler in ruby, composer in php and so on.

    And CocoaPods doesn't solve the problem, take the platform version compatability problem.

    @jens-peter He wants an OS with support to develop on any language, not a single OS.

    So....why not use Cordova? Or Unity? I know they're not perfect but you know. One OS. So many platforms to export.

    @lostinmyworld cause its shit. Period. Only use cordova if you're a web dev and aint got time to learn the native language

    @jens-peter i think you took it wrong, i meant an OS (like windows mac or whatever) where i can download and develope on xcode, android studio and the full visual studio package under one free easily installable, everywhere OS

    @Revenger React Native could be the way to go. Get a native app by writing js, everyone's happy.

    @Revenger well it's not peaceful, yes. But it's one OS. Right? Haha

    There were some rumors about Visual Studio 2017 coming to Mac, but given the infrastructure of the program, I highly doubt it.

    and run all of them at the same time without any lag

    @party101 oh...

    Well thats not what i meant, apple so far is taking the lead in having most of the software available at their hands, problem is they can get you down for installing the mac system on any machine, and my dream is that apple, simply fuck off from their closed system and make it open, aka allow us to install the macOS without hassle

    And, since visual studio like made their own version for the mac (aka rebranded xamarin studio), problem is, i need xcode in all situations, like, everything can be found on windows, except xcode, everything can be done on windows, except developing applications for apple devices, which require you either kys while setting up the macOS, or shell out 3k for a god damn laptop thats valuable cause of thinnes, kinda good, but bullshit, and now, in just waiting that apple, take their heads out of their asses, and give us atleast xcode, thats all i want for now, build and compile ios apps on windows, without shelling 3k for this...
