I've been dismissing the Sublime Text 3 "unregistered evaluation copy" alert for almost 4 years now, and I never actually considered to buy a license. Then I realized that everybody I know didn't.

Did you?

I did pay for a license, but no longer use Sublime. It's a great editor, but I prefer Atom

Bought a license after using it for ±3years. I have atom, vbs, brackets installed but all are so freaking slow to me. Once in a while i check the time it takes to open and load a project folder and as long as sublime does it in .87seconds and atom needs 3 seconds to open the same exact thing then I'm not even considering having to setup a text editor all over again. Also sublime works great imo, no reason to change . The only thing is see some people rant about on sublime forums is the inability to use ligatures with Fira Code, but can these people even be called real developers.

What's so special about atom anyways? Maybe I'll switch...

I agree with @Tvercruysse. ST is blazing fast and works just great for me. Just because it's made by github, it doesn't mean it's the best out there. ST devs made a great job, and there is no doubt that python runs faster than HTML, JS, and CSS.
