Been doing webdev for 2 years straight and I need a change of pace so in my free time I wanna do a project with either Java, c# or c++.

No experience with either of them and I have no idea what I could do as a project.

Do you experienced de s have any suggestions?
(looking for a somewhat expandable project as my skills become better so I can keep building it)

Would love to hear some ideas!

You could go mobile with Java and Android Studio, nice skill well paid.

@FMashiro Make an app that combines the tipycall shit you will find in a real environment... Like using a webservice, dealing with the camera, some animations... Etc.

Consider yourself proficient in 5 years if you choose C++.

@Plinn that's fine, as long as I get an idea :p

    Maybe a simple warehouse system?

I'm currently trying to build a mathematical calculator.
It should accept the standard operations, floats, (), ^ and √ and maybe even some constants, like π and stuff.
But I'm not really getting anywhere since I'm a bloody newb.
    But it's fun nonetheless.

I've always selected my personal projects base on how cool would it be to work on something (bragging rights) and how little I know about the subject. That was the best way to learn for me.
