My first dev job :

Do a front-end in Joomla!. As an internship. Without being paid.
(In France, if you are here for >2 months, they can pay you, or not.)

At least, now I know why Joomla is a no-no when you want to do custom things. Heard that the team working on back-end had problems of PHP, like the PHP appearing and the one Joomla uses "is not the same" or something like this.

And now you know if you didn't. No problem.

Joomla is the most fucked up thing I have ever saw. No seriously! Joomla NOT for developers, it's mostly for designers who wants to grab theme and few plugins to make a website.

@PoweredByCoffee Yeah, I can confirm it's pretty fucked up, had to work with it twice actually, and those two times were the worst experience I had in web dev.

@norman70688 Nah, but Joomla! is its sibling. Same concept, same issues.

@norman70688 And when the client ask for something specific

    The module has a cost

And the client (who was my tutor and the director of the company) didn't want to pay anything, preferred to keep money to fly to Marroco while we were working.

Yeah, not a quite good experience
