Linux really sucks at gaming. Can't play Team Fortress 2 :(

    It's available on Steam though...

    @wolt Well, I can play it on Windows with Intel HD 3000 with like 60 FPS stable, but not on Linux

    @wolt opengl games have around 50% less framerate than directx

    @runfrodorun The problem is, it's a laptop. But still, I got Postal 2: Paradise Lost running here perfectly fine 😊

    @runfrodorun well, tbh, makes no sense to officially support Linux. It probably eats up more resources and money than it brings revenue. The gaming market is dominated by Windows and has been for the past years. And those who really want to game will just dual boot into windows (for example my friends).

    @runfrodorun so, just to confirm, which Radeon card would you recommend? That gets the most of the current drivers

    @runfrodorun I heard directX 12 will get a linux port

    @linuxer4fun Wine and Linux are not the same.

    (Rx 460 is a fantastic card for $100, im playing witcher3 on ultra settings on a 2gig model)

    @RazorSh4rk never! I'm using a 1070 and can't max it out.

    @SirWindfield you want me to record it or something? Everything ultra, hairworks off, around 40ish fps. With a skylake pentium

    @deadlyRants i said linux for a good reason. As ms is getting involved into 0inux,they will port X12

    @RazorSh4rk no, I just thought that with ultra you mean everything turned on and 60fps. I would turn on hairworks and put the settings to high. Looks better.

    @runfrodorun well, his statement is correct, no doubt. But 40fps is imo not playable. You normally do not see any real difference on high+. No need to load the 4k textures.

    I play on 1440p, was just wondering that he could play quite high. He is probably rocking 1080p though.

    Im playing 1080p but i think anything above 30 is more than playable as long as its not an fps

    @Jop- im in the team of devs porting it, so... Yeah...
