Trying to set up and begin a project in laravel has been the worst environment setup experience I've ever had.

Why is that? Even though I dont use Laravel anymore I've had fairly good experiences with it

@liammartens I figure it was from the my combined lack of experience in setting up such things for php and this being my first time setting up anything more complex than python in Linux (Lubuntu). I would say it's entirely my fault if their damn vm wasn't so confusing to set up

Since you git just started, give Yii2 a try if you got the time
