    I don't do it by choice, it was a decision made by a non technical manager based on how easy they thought it would be to recruit developers. (Turned out they were wrong, most PHP "developers" are completely incapable of using PHP)

    @nblackburn No, i don't count those.

    The big problem seems to be that anyone who knows the language well enough to write good, stable, secure code using it is highly unlikely to want to work with it.

    @nblackburn The only way one could think the hate for PHP is undeserved is if one doesn't know the language or if one hasn't used anything else. (Except possibly brainfuck and javascript since those two are pretty bad as well)
