Not a rant

What do you all use for taking notes? Preferably something that handles code well and is cloud based (or can be dumped into it)

    Not quite cloud based, but I use Boostnote - https://boostnote.io

    Now this is something I've wanted for a while! MacDown is OK but wanted a UI to search and manage too! Awesome!

    Just to add to the list, here are a few I've seen while researching.

    PileMd (local syncing, x platform)
    Simple note (cloud, x platform )
    Workflowy (plus workflowy for coders)

    I used to use a local text file, now i upload everything to a Private repository on Github.

    Vim over ssh(fs)? Or send yourself messages on Telegram with hashtags. But then I don't take many notes, usually I just store them locally.
