Actualy ther's a sad fact about codding in CNC machines... On courses they don't teach basic code first, so I was the only one to finish my course knowing how to use parameters (vars, cicles, functions) and I'm almost the only one who can code in my workplace.
In my first G-code class I asked the teacher If we were going to learn logic programming or algorithms... was teased, and then he asked, whats that? (hate people who teases cause of ignorance...) Resuming, most ended the course without knowing how to make a simple program. Made a program to clean the top of a piece with parameters and my colleges think i'm a genius... when they all should know how to do the same or better.
