Just a question people. Consider me a noob.
I have worked on php for a project. It's not too advanced or something but I don't get why people hate it so much.
I really need reasons.

Its loosely typed, it does not enforce separation of code from markup and historically it had some bad design decisions that regularly opened up security holes unless you activated several restrictions through config.

A good programmer can work around all of those problems but beginners might establish bad habits.

But its a powerful and easy to use language and much of the problems are solved by better defaults today.

I love it. There, i said it.
