    In the C language ++ was a way to post increment a numbered variable.
    IE i = 0;
    i++;
    now i == 1;
    So that was the idea behind the ++ in C++ when moving from C. I guess the idea stuck when moving from C++ to C#

    @pain0486 i hope everyone here on devRant knows this from before, as it's the way we upvote posts around here, and incrementing with ++ works in very many languages.
