Anyone got recommendations on a monitor setup above 1080p and 24" for developing in a unix environment? Don't know if I should go vertical, dual, or widescreen. I've seen research that dual monitors creates distraction. Thoughts?

I run dual Dell Ultrasharp U2415s in portrait. If you go vertical, 1920x1200 is much nicer than standard 1080p monitors. For development purposes, I find this setup much nicer than ultrawides. If you spend a lot of time looking at tables or spreadsheets, it's also really nice for spreading across both monitors (unless you have a Mac, then you can't because Mac won't let you). For design or entertainment, not so much.
