So, I just recieved a welcome email from bit.ac, with my email and a random generated password. The fact is that, I have never registered on this website. Did someone just registered with my email? Or maybe it's a new marketing strategy, to collect emails from another databases and send them emails, "reminding" them their email and a random generated password, so that who recieve the email, to be confused and to access the website to see what is all about, resulting that the company gets more traffic & eventually new possible customers?

Guys, we apologize for the situation. After massive DDOS attack, some party has used a list of E-mail addresses to defraud our company! It took some time for us to understand the situation and to take an appropriate measures. Rest assured, there are no reasons for us to use 3rd party database to attract irrelevant angry users!

As of now, we have implemented recaptcha for account signup form and closely monitoring the situation.

    Again, we apologize.

I would like to reassure that BIT.AC will never ever try to do such awful tricks to attract a customer. We apologize.

That does sound strange! It's possible it's an error or, as you mentioned, a new marketing tactic and also use https://smartcustomwritings.org/ site. If you didn't sign up, it might be wise to double-check your account security. Always better to be safe!
