@dfox @trogus Hi, I was just wondering how to find the privacy policy? If I am missing it, sorry!

My question is about who owns the rants. It doesn't matter either way, I am just curious.

    Like to hide your name if you want or to post anon?

    @ScribeOfGoD more like, do I own the submitted text or does DevRant? I don't mind if they do, but are they allowed to publish it for profit? Can I truly delete it, or do they claim the right to hang onto it forever and repost it if they want?

    I don't think they will abuse it, I am just curious :)

    @1000cc I am not trying to use any power here haha. I just want to know what decision they made from a design perspective

    @1000cc I am unclear? I missed the part about privacy? If I am missing a link or direct text, please let me know

    Fair enough from a mission statement perspective, but that doesn't answer any privacy questions. @1000cc

    I wonder how the copyright of reposted content is handled here, especially for images.
    Many ranters post pics that they copied from somewhere else.
    If copyrighted commercial images are posted dfox and trogus can get some trouble.

    Thank you @linuxxx for simply remaining calm and informative. Although any decent dev would actually bother a few minutes of time to actually go to the site and look for the privacy statement usually at the bottom of the site...

    Thank you for the link. I was not aware there was a an official site and more than mobile apps. @linuxxx

    @NeatNerdPrime Well I think that privacy isn't something to take lightly and it should be easy to answer such questions in a nice way!

    @owithg Most welcome mate!

    Ownership of content is in section 5 of the T&Cs

    @1000cc sorry if I seem rude but I personally think what @owithg asked is a valid question and you have no right to belittle it nor attack him. It's a question like any other and the fact that you couldn't care less for the answer doesn't mean it's not important to someone else. And sorry but I find repulsively bad mannered to answer (or better NOT to answer) a request with a "that's all you need to know" that has absolutely nothing to do with it.

    @simonebogni All respect to all commenters here but yeah I agree!

    We'll add the privacy policy and community rules to the about page, we are not trying to make them hard to find.

    For now, privacy and TOS are linked from the sign up screen, the app/play store screen, and links on website footer, and community rules link is in welcome email.
