So, I am getting bored with my personal projects right now. I'm thinking about dragging out my Arduino and Raspberry Pi's and tinker with them for a while.

I need some inspiration, though. Just wondering what my fellow tinkerers are (have been) working on.

I don't know if it counts, but https://devrant.io/rants/646131/...

@620hun That's pretty slick! So I assume that was a 'dumb' printer to start with? Just a basic Ethernet port on it?

@stryter Thanks! Just a USB port.

Well, I've got an arduino mega that I've been turning into an oscilloscope. I wrote code to the arduino to do adc conversions at around 60khz for a fraction of a second and then send the buffer to my laptop over the USB serial port, where I wrote a a program that displays the waveform on the screen. It's still a work in progress, but the basic functionality is there.

@Gogeta70 That is pretty awesome! That's the first I've heard of doing something like that. How much time have you put into it so far?

@stryter if you count research into low-level programming for the arduino and testing along with writing the program for windows, about a week.
