I had the same issue with another IDE, they expected me to press ctrl shift z. Needless to say I changed the keyboard shortcuts so that I don't go insane.

@Jase while I see why it would make sense indeed.. My reflexes have the upper hand. I've been redoing with ctrl y far too long to change the habit.

Huh, who the hell uses ctrl y, ctrl shift z is so much faster and easy to reach

Android Studio is based on Intellij IDEA and all JetBrains' products have the same keymap, so PyCharm needs Ctrl+Shift+Z too.
I like this, to have the same keymap everywhere 😊

I love the fact that ctrl+Y deletes a line. On a german keyboard it is just nice and easy to use that.

Its based on intellij from jetbrains. Ctrl+Y deletes the current line, which is actually rly useful most of the time

I always saw this as a Windows vs Linux shortcuts thing. I get really anxious anytime I hit Ctrl+shift+Z in a Linux gui app and it doesn't work

    Fucking MATLAB uses Alt + Ctrl + Shift + Cmd + € + $ + Z + Fuck !!!!!

How about fucking Photoshop? Ctrl-Z toggles the last operation, while Ctrl-Alt-Z is undo and Ctrl-Shift-Z is redo. Or some shit like that. Obviously remapped that on like day two.

Ctrl-Y is for chumps. Use Ctrl-Shift-Z like a real man.
