... no longer on call. Am on hour 12 of a call that has a few more hours to go and have handled 3 others today. Coworker is on hour 36 of a cal with possibly 24 more to go. And 3rd is finally eating as he missed meals all day for more calls than i can count. Who the fuck decided they hate us and want us to die these deaths????

@amateur64 thanks. I'm supposed to work my second job tomorrow. I'm not sure I can, at this point.

What the hell kind of setup requires calls of that duration that frequently at all hours?

Also, I feel for you and hope you get some down time soon.. although sounds like you wouldn't know how to relax for a while haha

@badcopnodonuts I fix things that can't be fixed. Accidental production pushes that need rolling back that aren't working for any number of reasons, database issues that no one can figure out, network problems that should be obvious but aren't. The calls can require a simple restart or could require a fix on the 1s and 0s level. Sometimes i get to explain to people how computers work and store information. The calls normally aren't that long, and we can usually pass off to a teammate, but all of us were currently fixing things or educating the people who broke it on how to not break it.
