Can you buy ++ ? I saw something in the avatar creation menu. If you can, does it then show up next to your name or is it just used for avatar cuatomization?

It's not actually buying ++ it's just buying an item worth more ++ than you currently have.

Subscribing to the devRant++ supporter program provides the ++ badge next to the username in comments.

Purchasing an avatar item is a one-off purchase, just gets you that one item that you don't have enough pts for, no one would know unless they notice you don't have enough pts to organically have that item unlocked.
