Last follow up rant for now on the Linux job hunting. Recruiter called and said that the employer is no longer interested in me. Slightly sad but hey let's keep the chin up and continue job hunting!

I went from ): to (: because of your optimism. I am looking for my first job as a developer btw and haven't even landed an interview yet! So hopefully that gives you some peace of mind

You have the experience, you have the skills, you have the sassiness! Sometimes it just takes longer! Keep that optimism and you'll watch these rants someday and giggle about it. 😎

It took me 3 years... Three miserable, painful, full of horror and agony... years. I've lost all hope. It was pure hell.

But finally. I have a job again and I actually like it. It's even better than any of my previous employments. It's not perfect, it's not heaven. But it's much better than anything I had, or even dreamt of having one day.

So hold on. Just hold on. Keep searching, keep spamming. And keep improving your salesmanship. Remember that any hr person or a recruiter don't really care about your skills or talents. They just want to pass someone to the processing queue and mark task as done (unless it's a small startup and you're talking to someone with brains). Keeping this in mind you can improve your chances of getting an interview and during one.

And unless you pass three years unemployed, don't you dear to lose hope!
