Seriously is kivy just lacking documentation on purpose.

You want a tutorial will just look at these apps other people have made I'm sure that will help.

No looking at some game code doesn't give me any ideas on how to create a basic form or a nav drawer.

Seriously are we supposed to fucking guess?

At this point it would be easier to write a gui framework than learn kivy.

    Interesting. I've heard good things about kivy and been thinking of messing around with it, should I stay away?

    i have done my best to work with it. i have failed. i'm starting to think that its not me, but the tool that is not intuitive, practical, made to solve problems.

    @ryanmhoffman

    I was the same, heard a lot of good things, looked into it, it looks great but I can't figure out where to get support.

    I think they want it to be community supported but they don't have a big enough community.

    Kivy ist Strange. On the one hand u can do cool things with it with just a few lines of code. On the other hand, its fcking ridiculous, how dumb all these properties are. Its kinda not that well integrated as it seems to be. And their tutorials are kinda useless, I agree. They are explaining about 3 lines and are pasting 20 lines of code for u. Gg I guess.

    I've had a mixed, mostly positive, experience with it. It's still fairly new and some things are broken/lacking (e.g. horizontal scrolling doesn't work in v < 1.9.0). I agree the documentation is kind of shitty, but the project is also entirely open source and the source code is actually fairly well documented and easy to understand. IMO it's pretty great what they've done so far and a hell of a lot less painful than the normal android development.
