These mother fuckers know when I'm packed up and ready to go to work and decide that's the perfect fucking time to call me. WHY COULDN'T YOU CALL WHILE I WAS STILL LOGGED IN AND DIDN'T HAVE TO LOG THE FUCK BACK IN, WAIT 90 YEARS FOR THE VIRTUAL MACHINE TO LOG ME IN and then tell me your issue self resolved. Come down to my office and bring me coffee for being so damn annoying before I'm sufficiently caffeinated.

@Letmecode oh, they stay on the phone with me. Word apparently got out that if they hang up, I will close the issue (I give them time to call back in case they were innocently disconnected).

I asked for the url so I could pull logs, was able to get in, they verified, and apparently now I'm a savior, even though I'm sure the coworker I was talking to restarted their system behind the scenes... lol

Once you decided to go home it is best not to answer the phone. If it is important they can call back in the morning.

@spacem we support 24x7 environments and have an on call rotation. When I'm on call, my phone can ring at any hour, and I have to answer it, otherwise my company is fined a shit-ton of money. Not answering my phone at home is not an option.

Even if I'm not on call, if my phone rings, I answer. My coworkers are all on other calls and something else broke.
