Even though I like a rolling Linux install that's been working for a long time, it's always fun to set up a fresh installation. Remember back when I had more time and setting up "Linux from scratch". Then there was Gentoo. Now Arch serves that purpose. Even though there is not that much time as when I was a student it's still brings pleasure starting from a clean slate. Only setting up the things you need and keeping config files clean and a nice directory structure. Keep it simple.

    Whenever I see people's CV state they used Gentoo at a previous job, I imagine someone hitting up key and doing 'emerge -uDN @world' regularly for some reason.
    Even though someone on Arch probably does the same thing with 'pacman -Syu', I imagine them getting more work done.

    Although I always use simple installers, gotta love setting up a fresh linux box yes!

    @xsacha Was a long time since Gentoo but I see your point. Regarding Arch that is probably partly true. Doing that quite often makes each update faster. Then not every day though. But your point is sort of true.
