Fuck you for imposing the upper limit on password length for my online banking! Why do you even care about my pass - don't you fucking hash it beforehand?!

    They seriously might not— many banks stop listening after 9-12 chars even if your password is longer, and many still don’t implement basic hashing protocol. It’s appalling that we don’t have a law mandating up to date backend systems for things like banks. This is a main point of focus for my political goals— that shit needs to be law, like yesterday.

    My bank still uses 6-digit virtual keyboard passwords, description/comment fields have a ridiculously low upper limit and don't accept special characters (that are part of the national alphabet), and every communication/report is accessible only from the platform's internal message system, without so much as an option for email notifications.

    I could go on, but suffice it to say that I am looking at other options...and not just because of the lackluster (which Is a gentler way of saying fucking primitive) online banking experience but also increasing hidden costs, lowering returns on savings, and others...
