Go feels like Python with easy multithreading, but it's missing a lot of the higher order / functional magic which makes Python so suitable for statistics & (data) science.

It feels like Go is the skeleton of Python, the syntax and performance of C, with the purpose of NodeJS — which makes it awesome but a bit awkward for certain tasks.
