Am I the only one who felt so fuckedup when someone told you about React Native or similar after working with pure Android and so? 🤔

Image related? Kappa.

@ElsSnek Nothing special, just testing how React Native worked

I spent half of my first hackathon trying to figure out how to make an Android app. We asked an Amazon mentor to take a look and he just said "oh, use React, it's a lot easier."

@alcamore At least he told you the truth 😂

I'm developing ATM on React, there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube and Github

You guys should also take a look at flutter. Google pushes it, hot reload, stable 60 frames per second #flutter

@fornplake What advantage does dart bring? also flutter? Is it just alternative for React & ReactNative?

I don't have a first hand comparison to react, but there are a couple of reasons:

Dart is surprisingly nice. It is statically typed, but does a good job at type interference when you don't want to specify everything. Therefor IDEs are working well.

The hot reload is pretty awesome, allowing for really fast ui design. There aren't as many widgets and plugins yet, but the community is pretty strong.
