"There are people who care about the user interface (UI); I can’t do UI to save my life. I mean if I was stranded on an island and the only way to get off that island was to make a pretty UI, I’d die there." -- Linus Torvalds

That is my life in summary, I can't do UI. I love doing backend projects, even when I use bootstrap, I come up with the ugliest looking UI ever. I think developers should be comfortable with whatever they enjoy doing and not forced to do things they are not very good at. (Hello PMs) *side eye*

You are in the same boat as Linus and many others including me. Different skill sets. No problem. Do what you love to do.

I like doing UI work. I like being the guy who designs the face of my company (its a magazine xD)
But back end has always fascinated me, and I would love to learn to code it.

I'm on this boat!! I'd pay for a designer, for a personal project! I can't make it pretty!

    Really hate it!

@Jumpshot44 For the place I was working, they liked to turn everyone into a full stack developer, so even when you say I'm not very good at this, theyll say just do something. then it ends up being ugly then they would expect you to do something nice. 😂😂
