No way you are touching my code.

I work so much better alone.

Have a side project that we wanted to bring a front end dev in on. Worked with her for a week making sure she understood the project and getting her logins and set up with git....

Told her to let me know if she needed anything. Left her alone for a week. At the weekly group meeting she had nothing done, said she couldn't get something working and blah blah blah. Then quit.

I could have done what we brought her in to do in that 2 weeks, so it actually pushed our project back 2 weeks.

I feel bad for her, she probably just got overwhelmed. Perhaps a more regular meeting for new coders to make sure that they aren't just going *shrug*. A day off being overwhelmed and having nothing to show for it can be overlooked, and proper feedback can be given and help. A week of being overwhelmed is dangerous to moral. No wonder she quit, the shame was probably too great.

All we needed was a current site design converted to mobile responsive with bootstrap. All assets were provided, all backend dev was being handled.

It could simply be she was a terrible dev :D but also may be she only needed a bit of a guiding hand.

As a full time professional freelancer, she gave us the impression that she had it.
